PEAR CREAM CHEESE COBBLER

Here is a quick finger-food desert you can throw together at the last minute and really impress your guests!

You might just have everything already on hand.

Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix
(any thing called for on box IE: Butter, eggs, water)
2 cans (20 oz cans) Pear halves (drained)
8 oz cream cheese, cut into small pieces.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Or what is on the box.

Prepare a 9 x 13 glass baking dish by rubbing insides with butter and dusting with flour.

Drain and cut the pears into about 1 inch chunks, then cut the cream cheese into about the same size chucks.

Follow the box directions for cake mix and pour into baking dish.

Sprinkle the pear pieces evenly over the batter. Then do the same with the cream cheese bits. The batter will rise around them as it cooks, but fruit may still pop out of top a little.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes (it will take about 10 to 15 minutes longer than listed on the box) or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.

Do not frost, just sprinkle a little bit of powdered sugar on top. Cut into small bite sized pieces and serve on a platter as finger food for your guests.

Hope that you will try this simple trick with a box of cake mix.

Slave discovered this Al Martino song a long time ago. At first I thought it couldn't make up its mind if it was a love song or a drinking song. Then it hit me! A perfect love song might very well BE a drinking song! I can't help but picture this with a long line of beer steins swinging in tempo! Anyway I hope you will enjoy:
